Aura Compute / Project Updates

What we're building.

Honest updates on the development of Aura Compute — what we're working on, what we're testing, and what's coming next. No hype, just progress.

Website launched — project goes public

The official Aura Compute website is now live. It covers the full project vision: Proof of Useful AI Work, tokenomics, roadmap, and the mining client. We've intentionally kept all unverified claims off the site — no made-up earnings numbers, no fake benchmarks. Everything we publish will be backed by real data.

Whitepaper v2.0 published

We've published the second version of the Aura Compute whitepaper. It covers the full PoUW architecture, tokenomics (72% mining allocation), halving schedule, governance model, and the Solana infrastructure. The document is available as a PDF download directly from the site.

TestingIn ProgressMarch 15, 2026

Internal miner testing underway

We are currently running internal tests of the Aura Compute mining client on a range of NVIDIA GPUs — including the new RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070, as well as the previous generation RTX 4090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3060. The goal is to verify GPU detection, task dispatch, and the basic reward flow across different hardware generations before opening the client to the public. We will publish benchmark results once the testing phase is complete.

Mining client v1.0 — first internal build

The first internal build of the Aura Compute Client (Windows) is ready for testing. It includes GPU auto-detection, a basic task queue interface, and Solana wallet integration. The client is not yet public — we want to run thorough tests before releasing it to avoid distributing software with known issues.

Smart contract development started on Solana Devnet

Development of the core Aura Compute smart contracts has begun on Solana Devnet. The initial scope covers the task submission flow, miner registration, and the basic reward distribution mechanism. We are using the Anchor framework with Rust. Security audit is planned before any mainnet deployment.

Project founded — Aura Compute begins

Aura Compute officially starts. The core idea: redirect GPU mining power from useless cryptographic puzzles toward real AI computations. Miners get rewarded in AURC tokens for every verified AI task they complete. The project is built on Solana for its low fees and high throughput.
