Aura Compute / Mining

Put your GPU to work
on real AI tasks.

Instead of solving pointless puzzles like Bitcoin, Aura Compute channels your GPU power into real AI computations — model inference, embeddings, and data processing. Miners receive AURC tokens for every verified task.

How it works

Your GPU does useful work. You get rewarded.

AI companies need massive computing power to train and run their models. Instead of paying centralized cloud providers, they submit tasks to the Aura Network — and your GPU processes them.

🏢

AI company submits a task

A startup needs to run AI inference or train a model. They submit the job to the Aura Network and pay in AURC tokens.

🖥️

Your GPU processes it

The Aura Compute Client on your PC picks up the task and your GPU processes it — similar to running a game or rendering a video.

Work is verified & rewarded

Once the work is cryptographically verified by the network, AURC tokens are sent to your Solana wallet. No middleman.

Getting started

4 steps to set up mining

01Download the Miner

Windows — v1.0 Beta

Download the Aura Compute Client — a simple app for Windows. Extract the zip and run the .exe file. The client detects your GPU automatically.

Coming Soon — Improved version in development

02Create a Solana Wallet

Free — takes 2 minutes

You need a free Solana wallet to receive AURC tokens. We recommend Phantom — it takes 2 minutes to set up and works in your browser.

03Connect Your Wallet

One-time setup

Open the Aura Compute Client and paste your Solana wallet address. This is where your AURC tokens will be sent after verified tasks.

04Start Mining

Runs in background

Click Start and your GPU begins processing real AI tasks for the network. You can set limits on GPU usage so your computer stays responsive for gaming or work.

Compatible hardware

Which GPUs are supported?

The mining client supports modern NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. More powerful GPUs can handle more complex tasks, but exact reward rates will be published after network testing.

NVIDIA
  • RTX 5090 / 5080 / 5070 Ti / 5070 / 5060 Ti
  • RTX 4090 / 4080 Super / 4070 Ti Super / 4070 / 4060 Ti / 4060
  • RTX 3090 Ti / 3080 Ti / 3070 / 3060

CUDA-based GPUs with strong AI/ML performance. The mining client auto-detects your card and optimizes workloads accordingly.

AMD
  • RX 9070 XT / 9070
  • RX 7900 XTX / 7900 XT / 7800 XT / 7700 XT / 7600

ROCm-compatible GPUs. RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 architectures are supported. The client handles driver compatibility automatically.

⚠️

Honest note: We haven't published verified benchmarks yet because the network is still in development. We don't want to promise specific earnings before we have real test data. Once the network is live, we'll publish transparent performance and reward data for every supported GPU.

Rewards

How mining rewards work

Reward Structure

Transparent from day one

Here's what we know — and what we're still testing.

Total Mining Pool

Confirmed

720,000,000 AURC

72% of total supply is reserved for miners. Released gradually via smart contract upon verified work.

Halving Schedule

Confirmed

Every 2 years

Mining rewards halve every 2 years or after 100M AI tasks — whichever comes first.

Reward per task

Testing

TBD

Will depend on task complexity, GPU contribution, and network demand. We'll publish exact rates after testing.

Profitability

Testing

TBD

Whether mining covers electricity costs depends on AURC token value and network demand. We'll share real data when available.

Why no earnings calculator? We don't want to show made-up numbers. Once the network is live and we have real performance data, we'll publish a verified calculator with actual benchmarks for every GPU model.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The mining client works with modern NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Exact performance and reward rates will depend on the task types available on the network and your GPU's capabilities. We'll publish verified benchmarks once the network is live and tested.

No — AI tasks are similar to running games or video editing. The Aura Compute Client lets you set a maximum GPU usage limit (e.g. 70%) so your hardware stays cool and lasts longer.

It depends on your GPU and the usage limit you set. A typical gaming GPU uses roughly 150–200W under load. Whether the rewards offset electricity costs will depend on network demand and AURC token value — we'll share real data once the network is operational.

Yes. You can set the miner to use only idle GPU power — it automatically pauses when you start a game or heavy application, then resumes when you stop.

The mining client is available for download now in beta. The full network with real AI tasks and token rewards is still in development. Follow us on X (@AuraCompute) for launch updates.

Once the network is live, AURC tokens will be sent to your Solana wallet after each verified task. The exact reward rates will depend on network demand, task complexity, and your GPU's contribution. We'll publish transparent reward data once testing is complete.
